Same old stuff we see at every seminar.
Frankly, at this point in time, I think you would find a lot of interest in EMR, Digital X-Ray and the IT stuff. I see that when reading the daily emails! Then you can have a seminar on how we can invest the thousands of $ they are going to throw us. Well, I had to throw a little sarcasm in there, but you know? We are going to have to look after our own selves for retirement. There is a lot of fear out there. That makes interest.
Biomechanics research seems to be one of the most important yet neglected area in most podiatric seminars. Too much emphasis on surgical procedures and wound management seems to dominate meetings when the proper understanding of the underlying biomechanical etiologies appears to be neglected.
I think managing difficult wounds and podiatric dermatology would be my current top two topics.
I haven't seen many lectures recently on biomechanics. I have attendfed many surgical and wound care lectures.
