I have been blogging since 2007 and a quick review of my all-time-stats (1.3 million views and counting) reveals that “top of the foot bump” is the most popular online search term that directs readers to my blog. Searching that term will lead to several posts with titles that are a variation of “top of the foot bump” as well as blogs on bunions and modifying shoe laces.
Why does this matter? Well, if you are trying to build your web presence and come up with relevant meta-data search terms, tags or content to help direct patients to your site, then this makes sense to include. It cannot hurt and it may just wind up increasing your web traffic, online ranking and revenue.
Happy holidays and my gratitude to the editorial staff of Podiatry Today (Jeff Hall, Brian McCurdy and Danielle Chicano) for their hard work and dedication. Without their unfailing commitment to furthering podiatric education and knowledge, our profession would not be as great as it is today.
