The Richie Brace is a custom AFO designed to treat chronic conditions of the foot and ankle. With a contoured, balanced orthotic footplate articulated to adjustable semi-rigid lower leg uprights, it is ideally suited to stabilize rotational forces at the midtarsal, subtalar and talo-crural joints. The Richie Dynamic Assist Dropfoot Brace¨ is a custom articulated AFO with medial and lateral spring-like hinges, providing up to 15 degrees of dorsiflexion of the foot at the ankle joint during swing phase of gait. Stabilizes foot-ankle in patients with weakness of dorsiflexor and evertor muscle. The Richie Solid AFO is a traditional AFO design with a Richie Brace¨ balanced orthotic footplate. Full topcover extension and forefoot accommodations are available. Indicated for dropfoot conditions with spasticity and for Charcot arthropathy. The Richie OTC Brace¨ is a prefabricated brace for acute ankle sprain, tendinitis of ankle or an interim brace before custom AFO treatment. Includes prefabricated contoured orthotic footplate, full flexion ankle articulation, semi-rigid limb upright and recessed Velcro straps for maximum support and adjustable fit. The patented Arch Suspender provides powerful adjustable control over the midtarsal joint of the human foot. The medial Arch Suspender stabilizes the talonavicular joint while the lateral Arch Suspender stabilizes the calcanealcuboid joint. U.S. Patent No. 6,602,215. |
