Product Description |
Accuzyme is a papain-urea debriding ointment. Accuzyme is indicated for debridement of necrotic tissue and liquefaction of slough in acute and chronic lesions such as pressure ulcers, varicose and diabetic ulcers, burns, postoperative wounds, pilonidal cyst wounds, carbuncles and miscellaneous traumatic or infected wounds. Panafil is a wound healing and a proteolytic cleansing ointment that is indicated for a variety of wounds. Panafil ointment is suggested for treatment of acute and chronic lesions such as varicose, diabetic and decubitis ulcers, burns, postoperative wounds, pilondial cyst wounds, carbuncles and miscellaneous traumatic or infected wounds. Panafil ointment applied continually throughout treatment of these conditions for enzymatic debridement of necrotic tissue of liquefaction of fibrinous, purulent debris, to keep the wound clean and simultaneously to promote normal healing. Oasis is a biologically derived wound matrix that is composed of intact extracellula Small Intestine Submucosa (SIS) from a porcine source. It is indicated for the management of partial- and full-thickness skin loss injuries and wounds. Xenaderm contains balsam peru, an effective capillary bed stimulant used to increase blood to the wound site. Castor oil is used to improve epithelialization by reducing premature epithelial desiccation and cornification. Also, it can act as a protective covering and aids in the reduction of pain. Trypsin is intended for debridement of eschar and other necrotic tissue. It appears that in many instances removal of wound debris strengthens humoral defense mechanisms sufficiently to retard proliferation of local pathogens. |
