A Closer Look At A New Custom Sandal Program
Chaco recently sent out a press release regarding its custom sandal program launch. Nike was a pioneer in the field of footwear customization with NIKEiD (see http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/?l=shop,nikeid ) and now Chaco gives customers that same ability with sandal customization.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the brand, Chaco has earned the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance, and is one of the sandal brands I routinely recommend to my patients. I have previously blogged about Chaco Sandals at both Podiatry Today (http://www.podiatrytoday.com/blogged/when-patients-ask-recommendations-s... ) and my shoe blog (http://drshoe.wordpress.com/2008/06/26/shoe-review-chaco-sandals/ )
Chaco is releasing its new MyChacos custom sandal program, which lets customers build and personalize their own sandals, according to a company press release. The company says its new website, www.mychacos.com, offers deep customization with nine dimensions of color, material and sole choices. Customers can build and personalize all aspects of their sandals by selecting sole pattern, webbing design (over 100 choices), stitching and buckle colors, and logo placement, according to the press release from Chaco.
The company adds that the design system works on cell phones and tablet computers. MyChacos cost $125 and typically ship within three to five days of ordering.
